Community Service

Through the leadership of Dr. Mohamed Tunde Macarthy, the Tumac Group of Companies has embarked on contributing meaningfully to national development.

As the saying goes ‘Charity begins at home’.

  • In December 2011, Tumac organized a Beach Fiesta and Outing to Bureh Beach, located along the Western Area Peninsula. This day and all night fiesta programme included performances from leading Sierra Leonean Artist and the Sierra Leone National Dance Troupe. The success of the project has now warranted it becoming an Annual Event.
  • Next in line was the self funding and construction of the entire Kissy Mess Mess Cemetery Wall Fence. The formal handing over to the Freetown City Council is to be effected soon.
  • In association with the Bicentenary Trust of the United Kingdom, Tumac is currently embarked on the construction of the entire wall fence at the Race Course Cemetery, Cline Town, Freetown. Work is progressing steadily.
  • Two Water Wells are being dug presently to help meet the water needs of the people in the ZIzer Farm Community, in the Brima Lane Area. The project is ongoing.
